Directions from Bonaire
Take GA 96 west, turn north on Moody Road and then west on Russell Parkway to 1295 Russell Parkway in Warner Robins. The drive is about 6.5 miles and roughly 12 minutes without traffic. We see patients Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Clear Aligner Options
Invisalign
Invisalign uses a series of custom clear trays, each worn for one to two weeks, to move teeth gradually. Trays come out for meals and brushing, and there are no wires to tighten. Dr. Curtis O. Hayslip holds an advanced certification in Invisalign therapy.
Smile Shapers
Smile Shapers clear aligners treat many mild to moderate concerns, such as crowding, gaps, overbite, underbite, crossbite and rotated teeth. Each set is worn 20 to 22 hours a day for about two weeks before you switch to the next.
What the Process Looks Like
We start with a complimentary consult to check your bite, gums and overall dental health. Aligners work best on healthy teeth, so we take care of cavities or gum problems first. A digital intraoral scanner then captures a 3D model of your teeth in minutes, with no goopy impression trays. That model is used to plan each stage of tooth movement and to make your aligners.
During treatment, quick check-ins keep things on track. When you finish, you will wear a retainer to hold your new smile in place.
Keeping the Whole Family on Schedule
While your teen is in aligners, the rest of the family can keep up with cleanings and exams at the same office. If a filling, crown or whitening touch-up is needed once the aligners come off, we can handle that too.
Life with Aligners
Most people adjust to clear aligners within a few days. Expect some pressure when you switch to a new set, which is a sign the teeth are moving. Take your trays out to eat or drink anything other than water, then brush before you put them back in. Because aligners only work while you wear them, the 20 to 22 hours a day really matters. Teens who play sports or instruments usually find aligners easier to live with than brackets and wires.
